Mission Statement
The Center for the Study of Institutional Diversity provides an intellectual environment for transdisciplinary scientists investigating the diversity of institutions, defined as the norms and rules people use to govern common resources and provide public goods. The faculty employs multiple methods to investigate their research questions, including ethnography, mathematical modeling and analysis, statistical analysis, social network analysis, archival research and experiments. The center brings together scholars from a diversity of disciplines, including political science, economics, mathematics, anthropology and ecology.
