Because culture, economics and politics are all at play, there is a strong demand for a comprehensive approach to studying institutional development and performance. ASU's Center for the Study of Institutional Diversity brings together anthropologists, mathematicians, political scientists and economists to explore how different types of institutions perform within different social-ecological systems.
